Georgetown, 22nd Nov. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid tribute to the Arya Samaj monument in Georgetown, Guyana, acknowledging the organization’s efforts in preserving Indian culture in the country. The Prime Minister lauded their role in promoting and safeguarding cultural heritage, remarking that it was a commendable contribution.
In his message shared on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi further highlighted the significance of the year, noting that it marks the 200th Jayanti (birth anniversary) of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. He expressed pride in commemorating this milestone, emphasizing the enduring legacy of the social reformer.
“Paid tributes to the Arya Samaj monument in Georgetown, Guyana. Their role in preserving our culture in Guyana is indeed commendable. This is also a very special year as we are marking the 200th Jayanti of Swami Dayanand Saraswati,” the Prime Minister wrote.
