Yadadri-Bhongir, 7th Dec. A horrific road accident occurred early Saturday morning in Telangana’s Yadadri-Bhongir district when a car lost control and plunged into a lake. Five individuals drowned, while one person was injured.
The victims have been identified as Vamsi (23), Dignesh (21), Harsh (21), Baloo (19), and Vinay (21), all residents of Hyderabad. The injured individual has been identified as Manikant (21). Reports indicate that all the deceased were intoxicated. The group had left home late at night, intending to drink fresh toddy in the early morning.
According to the police, the injured person managed to break the car window and escape, but the other five were trapped inside the vehicle. A case has been registered, and the bodies will be handed over to their families after legal formalities are completed.
