Maharashtra CM Fadnavis Meets PM Modi, Discusses Development Initiatives

New Delhi- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Prime Minister Narendra Modi today to discuss several key initiatives aimed at boosting the state’s development.

A major point of discussion was the transformation of Gadchiroli into a significant mining hub. Fadnavis highlighted the region’s potential as a “Steel City” and sought central support to enhance infrastructure and industry. “We have made remarkable progress in the steel sector, especially in developing Gadchiroli as a major hub for the industry,” Fadnavis stated.

The Chief Minister also thanked the Prime Minister for selecting Mumbai as the venue for the first-ever World Audio, Visual, and Entertainment Summit (WAVES), scheduled from May 1 to 4, 2025. Plans for establishing the Indian Institute of Creative Technology (IICT) in Mumbai’s Film City, Goregaon, were discussed, with the Centre committing ₹400 crore for the project, aiming to position Mumbai as a global creative hub.

Fadnavis shared his appreciation on social media, calling it an honor to meet PM Modi and discuss Maharashtra’s growth plans. The meeting underscores the state’s push to advance its industrial and creative sectors with strong support from the central government.
