Kalaburagi, 28th Nov. Kalaburagi Jail Chief Superintendent R Anitha on Thursday revealed that an unknown person had sent an audio message via a police inspector, threatening to blow up her car. However, police officials have stated that no official complaints have been received in relation to the threat.
In a statement to reporters, Anitha said, “Somebody sent an audio message to the police inspector saying that they will blow up my car. I personally have not received any such message, so I will not be lodging any police complaint at this point.” Despite this, Anitha mentioned that she would exercise increased caution moving forward.
Anitha, who assumed the role of Chief Superintendent last month, has faced scrutiny after viral photos and videos showed three inmates allegedly receiving special treatment inside the Kalaburagi Central Prison. In response, Anitha ordered a series of raids, leading to the seizure of mobile phones, gutka, cigarettes, and beedis from the prisoners.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation, and further investigations are underway.
