Srinagar, 22nd Oct. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced on Monday that two foreign terrorists, likely infiltrated from north Kashmir’s Bandipora area, were responsible for an attack in Ganderbal district that resulted in seven fatalities.
The attack occurred at a tunnel-construction site on the Srinagar-Leh national highway on Sunday, where a doctor and six labourers were killed. Officials stated that the unidentified terrorists opened fire as the workers returned to their camp late in the evening.
Sinha said that police and security forces have been authorized to pursue and eliminate those responsible for the attack. “According to an initial investigation, two masked individuals—both possibly foreign terrorists—entered the mess of the company constructing the Z-morh tunnel and opened indiscriminate fire,” he stated, noting that seven were killed and four injured.
He assured that the infiltrators are being tracked and will be neutralized soon.
