Suspected Blast in Punjab’s Raimal Village: No Casualties Reported

Gurdaspur, 18th Feb. 
A suspected blast occurred in Raimal village in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district on Monday night, but authorities have confirmed that no injuries or casualties were reported. The incident took place at the residence of Sukhdev Singh in Raimal village, prompting an immediate response from the police and the deployment of a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team.

According to Gurdaspur’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Riputapan Singh Sandhu, the Kotli Surat Mallian Police Station received a report about the blast sound around 8 PM. Upon reaching the residence, authorities launched an investigation into the cause of the blast.

“There has been no damage or harm. An FSL team is present, and the investigation is ongoing. Afterward, appropriate action will be taken,” DSP Sandhu confirmed to ANI.

In a related development, on February 15, Punjab police arrested four gang associates in connection with the murder of Overseer Singh alias Satinder Singh alias Satti. The Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) recovered a .32 bore pistol and six cartridges from their possession. The arrested individuals, identified as Gurpreet Singh, Lovejeet Sharma, Vinod Kumar, and Gagandeep Singh, are believed to be involved in the murder, which occurred on February 5 in Bhai Rupa village due to personal enmity.
